New U2 is Excellent
One of two new songs at the end of their compilation album "U218 Singles" - "Window in the Skies" is quickly becomming one of my favorite U2 songs of all time, and that's saying a lot for me. The song is classic U2. Bono sounds good, if not quite at his best, and the lyrics are incredible - pay attention as you listen to the incredible message the song sends.
And more... the video, one of two very different ones for this single... is awesome. It's comprised almost entirely of clips of other amazing artists who appear to be singing "Window in the Skies." At first, you might think that U2 isn't in the vid at all, but look again, Bono, The Edge, Larry and Adam make cameos mixed into the crowd shots.
Here are just a few of the greats shown (the obvious ones, really):
Simon & Garfunkel
Louis Armstrong
The Beatles
Elvis
David Bowie
Frank Sinatra
Jimmy Hendrix
Johnny Cash
Queen Latifah
Cole Porter
Who else can you spot in the video? Check it out in its entirety at this link:

Let's see if we can identify all the great artists who appear - leave a comment(s) with those you notice.
